Privacy Policy

Straz Inc. ("Straz," "we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of the actors, coaches, educators, students, and other individuals who use our services.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you access or use the Straz mobile application, website, software, communications, and related products and services, collectively referred to as the "Services."
Straz is an AI-assisted acting rehearsal platform. Depending on the features you use, the Services may allow you to upload scripts, select characters, rehearse dialogue, interact with AI-generated scene partners, record or analyze speech, adjust performance settings, prepare scenes or self-tapes, access acting exercises, and use related rehearsal tools.
By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways.
A. Information You Provide
We may collect information that you submit directly to us, including:
  • Your name, email address, username, password, and account information
  • Your age range or date of birth when needed to apply age restrictions
  • Profile information, such as acting experience, rehearsal preferences, character selections, and voice settings

  • Voice selections, emotion settings, pacing settings, rehearsal preferences, highlights, bookmarks, and session history
  • Information you submit when participating in product tests, interviews, research, surveys, promotional programs, or beta programs
Payment card information may be collected and processed directly by Apple, Google, Stripe, or another authorized payment processor. Straz may receive limited transaction information, such as your subscription status, product purchased, transaction date, renewal status, and transaction identifier. Straz generally does not receive your complete payment card number.
B. Scripts and Confidential Creative Material
Straz allows users to upload scripts, audition sides, scenes, dialogue, stage directions, character information, and other creative material for private rehearsal.
These materials may be confidential, copyrighted, licensed, embargoed, unreleased, subject to a nondisclosure agreement, or owned by a writer, studio, production company, casting office, agency, school, publisher, or another third party.
Straz does not claim ownership of material uploaded by a user.
Straz does not provide a public script-sharing feature, script marketplace, community script library, or public profile containing uploaded scripts.
Straz does not make user-uploaded scripts available to other Straz users.
Straz does not sell, publish, license, distribute, advertise with, publicly demonstrate, or otherwise use private uploaded scripts for purposes unrelated to providing and operating the Services.
Straz processes uploaded materials only as reasonably necessary to provide the features requested by the user, including:

  • Separating the user’s lines from scene-partner lines

  • Providing rehearsal controls
  • Providing script or scene analysis requested by the user
  • Restoring content or responding to a support request
  • Investigating technical errors, fraud, security incidents, or misuse
  • Protecting the operation and integrity of the Services

Straz will not use a private uploaded script as a sample scene, demonstration scene, advertisement, promotional asset, or public product example without the user’s separate written permission and confirmation that the user has the authority to grant that permission.
Straz will not use private scripts, private recordings, self-tapes, or private performance information to train general-purpose artificial intelligence models unless we first provide clear notice and receive the user’s separate affirmative consent.
Straz may use limited technical, aggregated, or de-identified operational information to measure performance, reliability, latency, error rates, feature usage, and system health. Such information will not intentionally disclose the substance of a private script, identify a confidential production, or reveal protected creative material.
Users are responsible for determining whether they have permission to upload and process any script or creative material. Straz’s privacy protections do not override a confidentiality obligation, nondisclosure agreement, casting restriction, production rule, copyright license, or instruction from the owner of the material.
